Cleanliness drive under way

The Lahore Waste Management Company’s (LWMC) “Shining and Green Lahore” campaign continued into its second day.

An LWMC spokesperson said on Saturday that the company ensured zero waste in 9 towns of Lahore in a phased manner.

During the first phase of the campaign, the LWMC conducted a special cleanliness operation in Data Gang Baksh Town and Gulberg Town.

Around 1,160 tonnes of waste were lifted from Gulberg Town and 1,177 tonnes of waste from Data Ganj Bakhsh Town.

Additionally, special cleanliness arrangements were made along procession routes
