The Sindh High Court (SHC) issued a written order about the inundation of several areas of DHA as a result of rain and directed the DHA and Cantonment Board Clifton to figure out a permanent solution.
A two-member bench headed by Justice Syed Hasan Azhar Rizvi issued the written interim order on the petition. The court stated in its written order that a meeting should be conducted with residents, experts, and engineers regarding rain drains. The court has directed to hold a meeting in the DHA office within seven working days.
It is stated in the written order that encroachments on the design, planning, and execution of storm drains should be taken up in the meeting in which DHA, Cantonment Board Clifton experts and Engineers should also participate.
The court directed the DHA and Cantonment Board Clifton to submit the meeting’s minutes. Proposals and recommendations should be prepared and submitted to the court within 30 days.
The court also ordered to submit the final report after six weeks.
