K-Electric officials have not even spared Quaid's mausoleum as power outages of several hours are being carried out everyday at the historic place.

Sources told The Express Tribune that load-shedding of four hours is being carried out at the mausoleum which causes complete darkness on the location.

Due to power outages, all the floodlights and security cameras installed at the mausoleum become inactive. It is pertinent to mention here that Quaid's mausoleum is exempted from load-shedding.

Sources further revealed that the power outages started during July and despite the passage of two months, the problems could not be resolved.

They also said that the electricity remained suspended from 3am onwards even on the 74th death anniversary of the Father of the Nation on September 11. Sources said that power suddenly went off during a visit of a high-level delegation of Oman.

They further revealed that the delegation was astonished due to the load-shedding at the iconic place.
