Rumour has it: Post breakup, Leonardo DiCaprio, Gigi Hadid 'hook up'

Rumours surfaced after DiCaprio called it quits with model Camila Morrone

Leonardo DiCaprio has been quietly seeing Gigi Hadid following his split from model Camila Morrone, reports In Touch.

The fairytale-like romance between DiCaprio and Morrone reached its conclusion over the summer after four years together. Soon after, the Don't Look Up actor is reported to have “hooked up a few times” with supermodel Hadid, as an exclusive source tells In Touch.

“They have known each other for several years. They’re super attracted to each other. She is exactly his type: gorgeous, sexy, but low-key with a one-of-the-guys attitude,” the source continues.

Hadid split up with her long-time partner, singer Zayn Malik, in October 2021 following a dispute Malik had with her mother, Yolanda Hadid. The pair co-parent their two-year-old daughter Khai as Hadid focuses on launching her new clothing line, Guest in Residence.

While DiCaprio, 47, and Hadid, 27, would instantly become one of Hollywood’s biggest A-list couples, they have not yet added a label to it. “It’s casual and not a constant thing. But they have lots of mutual friends,” the source adds. However, another source alleges they are hanging out just as close friends would.

Explaining DiCaprio and Morrone’s split, an additional source tells In Touch, “Leo and Camila have had a few breaks in the past few months. It’s a matter of deciding whether they are in it for the long haul or just going to let it die.” The source also shed light on DiCaprio’s previous romantic patterns, saying “With all of Leo’s girlfriends, once she became focused on work and had her own priorities, he got distant. Rather than have dramatic breakups, they took time apart.”

The Titanic heartthrob has become infamous for exclusively dating women under 25, with news of his latest romantic endeavours often overshadowing his acting gigs or environmental activism.

Following his split with Morrone, who turned 25 only a few months ago, Twitter had a field day trolling the actor over his prevailing dating patterns. Memes and sarcastic comments flooded the social media platform, with one user pointing out, “There's no phenomenon on this planet more reliable than Leonardo DiCaprio breaking up with his girl by age 25. The stats are breathtaking.”

Another user questioned, “I need to know how Leonardo DiCaprio conducts these breakups. Does he start picking fights months before they turn 25 to be less conspicuous? Do they wake up on their birthday to a note that says ‘Sorry, I can’t, don’t hate me’? Someone, please investigate.”

Others began taking a jab at the upcoming 25-year anniversary of the cult classic Titanic, a film that shot DiCaprio to mainstream stardom. “Titanic turns 25 this year, at which point I assume Leonardo DiCaprio will no longer want to be in it,” a user wrote.
