Police arrested a shopkeeper for allegedly molesting a 12-year-old girl. According to the
police, the mother of the victim informed the police that her daughter went to the shop to buy sweets when the shopkeeper named Irfan sexually assaulted her.
Wah Cantt police immediately registered a case and arrested Irfan. SP Potohar said that the accused will be produced in court with concrete evidence.
Meanwhile, district police on Thursday conducted raids in different areas and netted nine accused for possessing illegal weapons.
According to a police spokesman, Pirwadhai, Taxila, Mandra, Jatli, Saddar Baroni, Rawat and Kotli Sattian police rounded up Waheed, Sajid, Irfan, Hadiyatullah, Samiullah, Shahid Saeed, Muhammad Bilal Adil, Haseeb and Faisal ur Rehman for possessing eight 30-bore pistols, a 9mm pistol, a Kalashnikov and ammunition.
Separate cases have been registered against all the accused.
