Action against SBCA officials in 45 days ordered
The Sindh High Court (SHC) has directed the Director General, Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA), to take action against all the officers involved in granting the approval for the construction of an illegal multi-storey building and submit a report within 45 days.
A two-member bench, headed by Justice Syed Hassan Azhar Rizvi, passed the order while hearing a petition related to the construction of an illegal eight-storey building in Liaquatabad.
The bench remarked that the SBCA should be given an award for its "outstanding performance" because illegal multi-storey buildings are being built in the city and the SBCA does not have any information.
Justice Rizvi remarked that the illegal eight-storey building was not built overnight. The judge directed the DG SBCA to take legal action against all those officers involved in granting approval for the construction of illegal building.
