Police have registered a case while the education department has opened an investigation against a teacher for beating severely a schoolboy for not completing his homework.
Saint Jacob's Grammar Secondary School teacher, Hanaan Soomro, beat Saarang Ali, a 14-year-old student of ninth-grade, for not completing his homework.
In this regard, the Government of Sindh School Education and Literacy Department, Directorate of Inspection and Registration of Private Institutions Sindh, ordered to investigate the complaint of physical violence received by parents on WhatsApp.
The Sindh Education Department, taking notice of the brutal physical violence on student Saarang by teacher Hanaan Soomro, has set up a committee to investigate the matter. The committee will make an emergency visit to the school.
