Fahad Mustafa is now an honorary superintendent of police off-screen as well! The actor recently took to Instagram and shared a picture with IG Sindh Police Ghulam Nabi Memon where he was honoured with the title of Honorary Superintendent of Police (SP) in real life.

Mustafa has played the role of a cop, Gulab, in his latest offering Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad. Taking to the photo-sharing application, the Jeeto Pakistan host shared that his character SHO Gulab has 'achieved his biggest dream.'

"Today, I truly believe SHO Gulab has achieved his biggest dreams," Mustafa penned. "Many many thanks to IG Sindh Police Ghulam Nabi Memon for honouring me with the title of Honorary Superintendent of Police (SP) this Independence Day and bringing Gulab’s ambitions to life. I will never get over the love and support you all have shown to this character and Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad and I hope to continue serving my nation proudly!"

The commemoration ceremony was also attended by director Nabeel Qureshi, writer-producer Fizza Ali Meerza, Kumail Haider Shah Chairman LCA Sindh, CPLC Chief Zubair Habib along with DIG Headquarters Sindh, DIG Training Sindh, DIG Crime and Investigation Sindh and AIG Operations Sindh.

Earlier, in an interview with The Express Tribune, the Actor-in-Law star, while divulging his character, had shared, “I always wanted to do a film which was one of its kind, at least in this region. We haven’t really made films on cops. If you have ever come across a cop story, Inspector Jamshed was a character I was always fond of and I wanted to play a cop-like character which had similar traits to him.”

He had then added, “I had developed and worked one story myself. At the same time, Nabeel came to me and narrated to me the story of Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad which was pretty similar. The thing is Nabeel and I think alike. Maybe that’s why we work a lot together. I always think an actor can play different characters but it’s very important to understand the context. To grow a beard, to have a moustache, have an accent – all this can do wonders only if you have a strong storyline to justify it. I always look for a story and this was it.”
