ISLAMABAD:

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb, while sharing the “original video” of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif's visit to Balochistan, said that the video that circulated on social media was edited on the instructions of former first lady Bushra Bibi.

In a tweet on Sunday, the information minister shared the video of the prime minister's visit to Balochistan, saying that both versions were being presented. She added that the sound in the footage was edited and propagated.

She said that the video was the "latest masterpiece” of Bushra Bibi's instruction to "Arsalan Beta (son)" for linking political opponents with treachery.

She also said that the former first lady made the video and released it to the media at 4:28 pm on Saturday. She added that the edited video has been sent to the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cybercrime Wing for investigation so that the fake voices involved in it can be brought to book.

Accusing the management of ARY News, Marriyum said that they should also be ashamed of becoming part of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s agenda of spreading lies under the guise of journalism and freedom of speech to divert attention from his corruption. The said news channel always killed the truth and reality, she alleged.

Taking a jibe at ARY, she said, “When illegal contracts worth billions of rupees are being received, then lies will surely be propagated in the guise of journalism.”

This lowly and vile act of Imran was an expression of his mindset, who did not hesitate in telling lies habitually about the sacred concept of Riyasat-e- Madinah, as well as about FATF, coronavirus pandemic, flood, religion, health of political opponents, economy and employment of people, she added.

The minister said that the dead bodies of tourists were lying under the snow in Murree, but Bushra did not allow him (Imran Khan) to go there, while he was visiting the mountains in those days, and now he is hurt that Prime Minister Shehbaz is partaking in the problems of the people and is sympathising with them.

The minister said that the funerals of the Hazara community were on hold and the former premier said that he would not be blackmailed. “Naeemul Haq and many of his closest friends died, Imran Sahib was not allowed to attend the funeral,” she claimed.

“Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) had the worst floods and dengue, but the shameless and insensitive Imran continued to play ludo in the Chief Minister's House,” she went on to claim.

She said that instead of helping the flood victims in Balochistan, Sindh and Punjab, Imran and Bushra were busy fabricating the video of Prime Minister Shehbaz.

Criticising the former premier, she said that he was the one who needed “camera, action and ARY’s light,” not Shehbaz.
