Kharan CTD head shot dead
Unidentified miscreants shot dead the head of Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Kharan district of Balochsitan on Friday.
Two motorcyclists opened fire at Eid Muhammad Hassani in the crowded Kharan bazaar, leaving him seriously injured. He was rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital Kharan where he succumbed to his wounds after battling for life for several hours.
The attackers managed to escape after the attack.
Police reached the spot and opened an investigation into the incident. Eid Muhammad Muhammad Hassani was serving as the head of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Kharan district and previously served on various important posts.
In a separate incident, police found two bodies in Khuzdar district. Police said that a couple had been killed and their bodies dumped in a deserted place.
The dead bodies were three days old. Police shifted the bodies to District Headquarters Hospital Khuzdar for autopsy.
