ISLAMABAD:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, while announcing holding the “largest rally in the history of the country” in Islamabad, addressed the workers and said that there is no need to lie down in front of tanks yet.

Addressing a workers' convention on Wednesday, a worker addressed the PTI chairman in a loud voice, saying: "Khan Sb, we will also lie down in front of the tanks. You order."

The former prime minister replied, "We don't need it now. We need the women and youth of our nation right now."

"For 30 years, thieves have been imposed on us, and those who imposed them have not brought them to make good decisions in our favor, but have brought us into their slavery."

Imran said, “Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, after subordinating the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), amended the NAB law to eliminate Rs1,100 billion. With the current government in power, it has eliminated corruption cases and NAB.”

Now the situation is that, he said, there was historical inflation in the country, the prices of commodities had gone up dramatically everywhere and the economy had collapsed and “there will be more inflation”.

The former prime minister raised the question, "What was the reason that our (PTI) government was overthrown and thieves were given power … today people are saying that Pakistan will not be able to repay the loan instalments and will default." The current government, he said, was following in the footsteps of the International Monetary Fund and had come out in support of inflation.

He asked the PTI women and other workers to go to people's doors, knock and tell them how important it is for them to leave their homes. “Let people know that this responsibility is not only Imran Khan's but also it is of the nation.”
