Google had announced the launch of a new layout for Gmail and the users had the option to test the new layout. Starting today, Google is all set to make the new interface default for Gmail users who opt for it.
In an announcement posted on their blog, Google says, “Beginning today, we are rolling out the opt-out experience to a segment of Gmail users. This means that select users will see the new Gmail experience by default, but they will still have the option to revert to classic Gmail via the settings menu.”
The new interface gives the user an option to customize their apps in the Quick settings menu. It also allows the user to easily switch between inbox, important conversations, or other options without going through the hassle of changing tabs or new windows.
It also allows the user to experience the new ‘Material You’ style for better navigation.
With this change, Google aims to integrate its different apps like Chat, Meet, and Gmail for a better user experience. The new layout will soon be the only option for the users.
