Two men were injured during robberies in the Balochni and Rodala areas, while a utility store on Rajana Road was also robbed.

Dozens of relatives of one of the injured men blocked a road in protest and chanted slogans against Balochni police. Police officers cleared the road after negotiations with the protesters.

Police officials said a gang of six dacoits blocked a road at Chak 172RB Bahmaniwala and 150RB Madhuana in the Balochni area and looted travelers for several hours.

The robbers shot and injured a young man, Ahmed, over resistance.

When the police did not reach the spot despite complaints, the injured man’s relatives and local people blocked the road in protest and demanded action against Balochni police.

Khurrianwala DSP Usman Warraich reached the spot and assured the protesters of improving the patrolling system along the local canal. The protesters dispersed after the assurance.

In Rodala, four masked robbers stopped Iqbal Ahmed's son who was on his way home from a garment factory. They tortured and injured him when he resisted the robbery.

The shop is located near Sheikhupura Road.

Two suspects on a motorcycle arrived at the shop late at night and tried to snatch cash from Azam, who drew a licensed pistol to defend himself. The robbers fired first, hitting him in the abdomen and chest.

The robbers escaped while Azam was critically wounded. Rescue 1122 personnel rushed Muhammad Azam to the Allied Hospital where he died in the late hours of the night.
