Buildings along Nullah Leh to be vacated

The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has decided to issue notices to owners of residential and commercial properties around Nullah Leh to vacate them ahead of the monsoon rains.

The RDA has decided to issue notices to the owners of residential and commercial properties around Nullah Leh to ensure the safety of life and property of the citizens during monsoon season.

The RDA said that immediate precautionary measures have been taken to protect the people and especially those living near Nullah Leh and in the area that falls within its jurisdiction. The RDA said that repairable houses and shops should also be repaired immediately with the permission of the RDA so that any future loss of life and property could be avoided.

In addition, owners of dilapidated buildings have been asked to vacate or demolish residential and commercial properties.
