A lady doctor and her husband saved the life of a teenage boy who fell in the Naltar lake in Gilgit-Baltistan while attempting to save his uncle from drowning, Express News reported.

The couple, who appeared to be tourists from Multan, can be seen in a video that went viral on social media on Friday desperately trying to revive the boy who was unconscious after he was pulled out from the lake.

After being given mouth-to-mouth and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) several times, the boy regains consciousness as the lady doctor Quratul Ain can be heard repeatedly saying himat karo sans lo, beta (try to breathe, son) in the video.

The boy was reportedly trying to save his uncle from drowning in the lake. The video of the incident went viral over social media as people praised the heroic act.

Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid Khan paid homage to the couple, saying that by providing timely emergency medical care, they saved a precious life which was highly commendable.
