CM for defining roadmaps for food security
Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz has directed the authorities concerned to come up with a plan of action within three days for providing kitchen items at affordable rates.
The CM issued these directives while chairing a meeting of the price control authority on Friday. The meeting was attended by Sardar Awais Leghari, Bilal Yasin, and Zeeshan Rafiq, political assistants, chief secretary and administrative secretaries. Commissioners and deputy commissioners participated through video link.
The CM directed authorities to present a plan of action within three days for providing kitchen items at affordable rates. The government was cognizant of the common man’s difficulties due to inflation and field visits will be regularly conducted to stabilize the availability of vegetables and prices in general, he said.
The DCs and price control magistrates will ensure the availability of essential items at fixed rates and personally monitor auction processes in markets.
Meanwhile, the United States Consul-General, William K. Makaneole, called on Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz at CMO on Friday and felicitated Hamza Shahbaz on assuming the office of the Chief Minister of Punjab.
William K. Makaneole expressed best wishes for Hamza Shahbaz, and matters pertaining to mutual interest, promotion of bilateral relations and enhancing of cooperation in different sectors came under discussion.
William K. Makaneole said that the USA gave great importance to its relations with Pakistan and would further promote its cooperation with the Punjab government in different sectors.
