A few months ago Google revealed that it has managed to achieve great speed on macOS and has beaten all browsers including Safari.

The company claims that the new updated version of Chrome is 20% faster on Apple’s latest laptops, with a score of 360 on Apple’s Speedometer.

According to Android Central, previously  in March, Chrome had picked up speed by 7% over Safari. Testing and comparing 300 browsers, Apple finally named Chrome to be the best, outmatching Safari by 15% in graphics performance.

With a few changes to ThinLTO which aligns code based elements important to improving speed, Chrome is 41% faster on M1-based Macs. The speed also improved 15% for Android users with improved navigation technology within the browser user interface thread.
