Ambassador Masood, while welcoming the delegation, appreciated their interest and enthusiasm. He said that enhancing bilateral trade volume and investment in Pakistan was a foremost priority.

He also stated that such an approach was necessary to facilitate the private sector in playing a leading role in the strengthening of Pak-US trade ties.

The ambassador observed that the western superpower remained Pakistan's largest export market with approximately six billion dollars worth of goods and services exported.

While the export volume was encouraging, he revealed that a target has been set to enhance the existing volume threefold. “This calls for combined efforts, Pakistan and [the] US have decided to make trade ties pivotal in their bilateral equation,” he added.
