The opening ceremony of the three-day Bagh Aman Mela was held in the scenic Tirah valley, Khyber tribal district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) on Tuesday.
The area, which was once plagued with terrorism, has now returned to normalcy due to the sacrifices of Pakistan Army. Moreover, many development projects for the residents of the area are also underway.
In addition, different events are being organised in Tirah which is testimony of the complete restoration of peace.
In the same spirit, Frontier Corps North and district administration Khyber have jointly organised Bagh Aman Mela in the valley.
Opening ceremony of the event was attended by people from all walks of life.
The activities during the Mela included presentation of tableaus by students, display of motorcycle riding skills by military police, band display, Khattak dance and other regional dances.
The highlight of the opening ceremony was the demonstration of power gliding and paragliding.
