Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz has warned that former prime minister Imran Khan would find no place to hide when the law would come into action against him because evidence was available against him.
Talking to the media after a court hearing, he said it was a misconception of the PTI leader that he could pressure the government. He alleged that Imran did not accept the Constitution and court decisions and he ridiculed national institutions.
He said the PML-N would not take revenge although the former premier had falsely implicated the opposition members in cases.
In reply to a question, the chief minister said the government was trying its best to reduce load-shedding. He said the inefficiency of the previous government during its four-year rule was being exposed.
Chief Minister Shehbaz said the local administration held a three-hour dialogue with PTI leaders about the Christian community’s reservations about the venue of the party’s planned rally in Sialkot.
He said the obduracy witnessed during PTI’s long march towards Islamabad and sit-in in the past was witnessed again in Sialkot. He alleged that Imran wanted bloodshed.
The chief minister said the country was at a crossroads, the national economy was in a precarious condition.
He said the former prime minister’s attitude had created anarchy and all political parties would have to show responsibility in the prevailing circumstances.
He also said that good decisions were being made for the country and the nation in London. He vowed to visit every place and wage a war against price-hike.
The chief minister urged the waste management companies to ensure that all cities and towns appear neat and clean.
Chairing a meeting, he sought a deadline from the divisional commissioners to ensure the cleanliness of the cities, towns, and rural areas.
He said it was the responsibility of the government to provide a neat and clean environment to the citizens.
