Female domestic help allegedly tortured by cop’s son

A maid was allegedly tortured and disrespected by the son of a Punjab Police inspector in Shahdara.

The victim worked as a maid at the residence of Inspector Aslam Niazi. She had also pooled a financial committee.

Two days ago, she demanded her share of the amount, over which the accused that he hurled threats and tortured and tore apart her clothes in a bazar.

DIG Operations Dr Abid Khan took notice of the incident and asked SP City to conduct an inquiry.

Incidentds of turturing domestic help is rampant in Punjab. On April 21, police arrested three people in connection with the death of a teenager who had been working as a maid at a house.

The victim, Muskan Bibi, had been brought to the Children’s Hospital after she had been reportedly fallen unconscious at her employer’s house.
