Islamabad Police arrested nine outlaws including a car lifter from all over the city and recovered stolen vehicles, weapons, and ammunition. Inspector General Police (IGP) Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas renewed efforts to curb crime in the city.
A police team under the supervision of Superintendent (SP) City Kamran Amir Khan headed by Station House Officer (SHO) Kohsar Shabbir Ahmed Tanoli arrested a car-lifter named Muhammad Sheraz and recovered snatched vehicles, weapons and ammunition from his possession. The accused had snatch vehicles from a citizen in F-7 and a case has been registered.
Sabzi Mandi Police team have arrested four accused during snap-checking, they were identified as Jan Wali, Sakhi Muhammad, Iqrar and Shehzad. Police recovered three 30 bore pistols and a dagger from their possession.
Ramna Police arrested accused Jalal ud din and recovered a 9mm pistol. Lohi Bher Police arrested accused Usama and recovered one 30 bore pistol. Industrial Area and Khana Police teams arrested two accused, Imran and Roniaz and recovered two 30 bore pistols with ammunition.
Separate cases have been registered against the accused and further investigations are underway. IGP Younas directed police to maintain high vigilance and monitoring against those involved in anti-social activities.
