PTI all set for power show in city
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders have said that Imran Khan will address the PTI rally at Bagh-e- Jinnah on April 16. At a press conference held at the venue of the rally at Bagh-e-Jinnah, the party leaders claimed it would be the largest gathering of its kind in recent history.
The press conference held late on Tuesday night, was attended by PTI Sindh President Ali Zaidi, former Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, Faisal Vawda, Sindh Assembly Opposition Leader Haleem Adil Sheikh, Firdous Shamim Naqvi, PTI Karachi President Bilal Ghaffar, PTI Sindh Assembly Parliamentary Leader Khurram Sher Zaman, Aftab Siddiqui, Ashraf Qureshi and leaders.
Imran Ismail said that the armed forces were the pride of the country. “We should not criticise them. If we criticise the army, then the survival of the country is in danger.,” he said. The former governor added that Imran Khan would visit Karachi on Saturday.
“The biggest meeting in the recent history of Pakistan is being held here,” he claimed. “All arrangements are being made.”
He said claimed that the events of recent days were a mere spectacle. “The state machinery was threatening our prime minister Imran Khan. “He decided in the wider interest of the nation. Behind us is the power of Allah and the people,” the governor asserted.
Ismail said MQM had been in ally of the PTI. “Congratulations on all their ministries. They will soon realise that they have taken the wrong decision.”
He added that neither Pakistan nor Imran Khan had any form of animosity towards the United States of America. “There was a ‘message’ that Imran Khan put in the National Security Council. Those who are going to inquire over the development were the ones opposing it. An independent inquiry should be held,” he added
Ismail said information had been received that MQM workers had burnt PTI flags. “We are peaceful people. Please do not try to create a confrontation,” the governor stressed. He further said MQM’s flags were burnt in Hyderabad, but PTI workers were not involved in any such act(s).
“If the MQM maintains this attitude, it will be difficult for us to handle our workers.”
Former federal minister Ali Zaidi said he was grateful to all the PTI workers and the party’s leadership.
