A man was shot dead and another was injured by armed accused in Orangi Town. CCTV footage of the incident, obtained by the Express, clearly shows the face of the accused.
According to details, Noor Muhammad, 55, son of Fazal Muhammad was killed and Sherzaman, 25, was injured when an armed accused opened fire on them late on Friday night. Initially, the police described the incident as a result of personal enmity and launched an investigation.
The CCTV footage that shows the firing incident took place at a tailor's shop. The victim Noor Muhammad who was standing outside the shop, tried to escape when he saw the armed accused taking out the weapon. He entered the tailor's shop. The assailant chased him and opened fire, killing Noor Muhammad and injuring a citizen named Sherzaman.
According to police, Noor Mohammad worked in a construction and estate agency. The family of the decease registered the case against two suspects including the owner of the tailor's shop. Police found three empty shells of 9mm pistol at the spot and launched investigation.
Wanted robber held
The accused who was arrested during the alleged encounter with police in Orangi Town turned out to be wanted by the Karachi West Police.
According to details, on April 7, after an alleged encounter near Orangi Town Swat Chowk the police arrested two accused including one in injured condition.
The injured accused was identified as Salman son of Akbarzada and accomplice Adeel son of Qadeer.
Two pistols, live rounds, seven snatched mobile phones and a motorcycle were recovered from the possession of the accused.
