Earlier today, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid had said that Prime Minister Imran was to address the nation in the evening to take it into confidence in the light of the prevailing political circumstances and a no-trust vote against him.
The minister made these remarks in a brief interaction with the media as he came out of the cabinet meeting for a quick cigar break.
Meanwhile, Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has tweeted, “Prime Minister! Imran Khan InshaAllah.”

Earlier in the day, Interior Minister Rashid addressed a ceremony to launch an e-passport facility in Islamabad alongside PM Imran.
During his address at the ceremony, Rashid claimed that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif through Saudi King Shah Abdullah put pressure on the Pakistan Army to let him go to Saudi Arabia. The minister claimed the army did not want Sharifs to go to Saudi Arabia.
“A similar drama took place in Attock and he fell ill after which the Army Medical Board reported that his health was critical and it was decided to let him go out of the country for treatment,” Rashid went on to allege.

Referring to the opposition leaders, Rashid claimed they were a product of 'Gate No 4' of the General Headquarters, and ex-ISI chief Hameed Gul used to be their "political adviser".
Rashid said he will stand by PM Imran like a rock. He added that the people were with Imran Khan even if those who allegedly took the money had parted their ways.
He added that Imran's popularity will rise further and the dissenting lawmakers will come back to him at the time of the next elections.
"These people will come back to you but they should be told to take a hike," he said while addressing the premier. "Imran Khan, however, is a forgiving person," Rashid went on to add.
