ISLAMABAD/RAWALPINDI:

Federal Minister for Interior Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Sunday accused the opposition of receiving money from Colonel Qaddafi of Libya and Osama bin Laden.

Speaking at the Islamabad rally on Sunday he described the opposition a gang of three and said they were rather dacoits instead of political leaders.

He branded the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) power show as the “battle between the forces of evil and good”.

Earlier, while speaking to reporters at Lal Haveli before departing for the political gathering, he said that people were showing “full confidence” in Prime Minister Imran Khan’s “honest leadership”.

He added that large numbers were reaching the federal capital to express their support for their leader while a number of them had already assembled at the Parade Ground.

Rashid said that corrupt politicians were trying to save their looted money, and termed March 27 as a “decisive day” in Pakistan’s history wherein people were approaching the federal capital on their own.

He added that the nation was standing by Prime Minister Imran, as they had rejected the “dirty politics” of the opposition.

A big rally led by Rashid left for the gathering, and the minister said that nearly 15,000 to 20,000 party workers from Rawalpindi would go to the Parade Ground for the power show.

Later, while addressing the political gathering, Minister for Defence Pervez Khattak said that Prime Minister Imran was fighting for protecting the country from “looters” and “plunderers” who harmed national interest.

The minister, who is also the president of the ruling party’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) chapter, said that “the valiant leader is not going anywhere”, urging PTI supporters to stand with the premier.

He also underlined that lawmakers who left the party this time around were never “genuine” party members.

He also urged the crowd to put their trust in Prime Minister Imran in the next elections.

He also hoped that the masses would continue to be with the premier till the day he breathes his last.
