Civil Awards: LHC returns petition challenging award distribution
Chaudhry Ishtiaq Ahmad Khan said that the president only bestowed the honours upon his favourites.

The Lahore High Court on Thursday returned a writ petition challenging the distribution of civil awards by the president, mostly to PPP leaders and personal favourites.
The registrar office objected that a notification of awards was not cited, a mandatory requirement for filing a petition. Chaudhry Ishtiaq Ahmad Khan had filed the petition saying that the president had not followed merit while conferring civil awards.
He said that instead, the president only bestowed the honours upon his favourites. Her requested withdrawal of all civil awards conferred this year.
