Popular television host and PTI MNA Aamir Liaquat Hussain stunned social media when he announced his marriage to third wife Syeda Dania Shah.
The announcement came a few hours after his second wife Tuba Anwar announced their divorce. What makes the third marriage even more astounding is the fact that his bride is only 18 years old and has claimed that he has "been her ideal since childhood".
In an appearance on a TV morning show, Hussain revealed that he did not court her for a month but met her once before their wedding for less than half an hour.
"When we met for the first time, it was only for 28 minutes. It wasn't a 28-day affair. Nothing of that sort ever happened."
He revealed that he had visited Lodhran to attend a Milad organised by a prosperous family. "I visited Lodhran for an event. It was a Milad function organised by an affluent family. I also called Jahangir Tareen Sahab from Lodhran. He later invited me to his farmhouse."
"After Milad, we went to Lodhran's Pir's house. I didn't know him. I discussed some personal affairs with him. He told me he will settle me with someone now but the only condition was that I wouldn't get to see her before. When I met her, it was Dania." Hussaind expanded.
In the days since the announcement, Aamir Liaquat and Dania Shah have uploaded several videos to social media; from cuddling to being serenaded to during the wedding ceremony.

Pakistani social media users have parodied their lovey-dovey posts, from imitating Hussain's expression to speculating the imminent arrival of his fourth wife.

Their 31-year age gap has left the internet reeling with jokes and parodies, some condemning the relationship as inappropriate and difficult to digest.

Internet sleuths also commented on how no media outlet realised that Hussain had been creating hype about his new bride a month before the official announcement. His outlandish posts likened her to a new project he was working on. The internet has been abuzz about the couple for a week since their revelation.
