KARACHI:

The Judicial Magistrate Malir directed the prosecution to submit the final challan in the Nazim Jokhio murder case on January 26.

The Jokhio case was heard before the judicial magistrate's court in Karachi. The investigating officer, the district prosecutor, and lawyers of the parties involved, appeared in court.  The prosecutor asked for more time to present the final challan of the case to the court.

He stated that the FSL's final report had not been received yet. The court reprimanded the prosecutor and asked the charge-sheet could not be presented in court to date.

The prosecutor stated that the challan remained in the first model court for five days as there was a decision to be taken on the bail application of the other accused. The next day, the file was sent to the prosecutor general who was yet to return it.

The Sindh prosecutor general has been asked for instructions regarding the jurisdiction of the case.
