Lumhs does their part: Rain victims aided by LUMHS

HYDERABAD: On the directives of Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) Jamshoro’s vice chancellor, Prof. Dr Naushad Ahmed Shaikh, free medical camps were organised in rain affected areas of Mirpurkhas, Jhudo and Kot Mir Jan Muhammad. The university spokesman said that the medical experts conducted clinical examinations of 3,000 rain affected people, vaccinated against different diseases and also provided free-of-cost medicine to them. The spokesman added that eight free medical camps have been organised so far by LUMHS medical teams in different rain affected areas of Badin, Tharparkar and Mirpurkhas districts. Professor Hussain Bux Kolachi has advised the people of rain-affected areas to use boiled water with chlorine in order to prevent water-borne diseases and also use Nimkol to save their children from diarrhoea.
