Remains of missing man found as police crack murder mystery
Police have cracked the murder case of a man who had gone missing from Shah Latif Town last summer.
The Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) of Sindh police arrested three suspects, including his wife and her alleged paramour.
According to a statement issued by the spokesperson, a man named Gul Muhammad, son of Qudrat Ali, went missing from the area of Shah Latif Town on September 30, 2020, almost a year and a half ago.
Case crime No. 1200 of 2021 was registered on July 6, 2021 under sections 365 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code. The case was later transferred to the AVCC on November 18 last year. After reexamining the case, the police not only traced the culprits involved in the incident, but also recovered the remains of the slain victim.

According to the spokesperson, the AVCC police arrested Rabia, the wife of the victim, her paramour Murtaza and friend Ali Hamza. They were charged with the kidnapping and murder of Gul Muhammad.
The bones of the victim have been recovered and sent to a laboratory for DNA testing.
The police have added Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code to the case and further investigation is underway.
