Outlaws had shot two labourers dead during a robbery bid near Superhighway

The Sachal police claimed to have arrested the prime suspect of a double murder case and recovered the alleged murder weapon and a motorcycle from him.

Police are carrying out raids to arrest other accomplices of the arrested suspect.

According to Sachal investigation police, Saeed Wali and his accomplices opened fire on three motorcyclists on the evening of December 30, 2021, while attempting to stop them for committing a robbery under Jamali Bridge.

As a result, two labourers Mumtaz Bhatti and Latif Bhatti were killed while their third companion Shahid Abdul Rasheed remained unscathed.

Later, Sachal police registered a case of murder against the unidentified robbers on the basis of Shahid's statement.

Fugitive terrorists held

The Supermarket police claimed to have arrested two fugitives wanted to the law in cases of terrorism.

Supermarket police station SHO Sub-Inspector Muhammad Riaz said that a hand grenade, a 30-bore pistol with ammunition, a mobile phone, cash, and a motorcycle were recovered from the suspects identified as Noman and Nasir Qureshi.

The suspects have previously been arrested by Supermarket, Sir Syed, Gulbahar, and Paposh Nagar police in cases of terrorism and street crimes.

Child's murder case registered

A case of murder of a child has been registered in New Karachi. No one was nominated in the case filed by the victim's father.

The body of an eight-year-old boy was found in New Karachi area yesterday. Police officials said that case crime No. 20 of 2022 has been registered against the unidentified suspects on the complaint of Asif, father of the child.

Section 365 [for kidnapping] and 302 [for murder] under the Pakistan Penal Code have been added in the case.

Abdul Rehman had been missing since the night of January 4, SHO New Karachi sub-inspector Shahid Taj said. "The boy's father had informed about the incident at the police station.

Police tried to find him but could not find him and his body was found on Wednesday," the SHO said.

He further added that apparently the death of the child was due to strangulation but the real facts will come to light only after receiving the post-mortem report.

No arrests were immediately made in the case. Police have launched further investigation into the incident.

Terror bid foiled

Three alleged terrorists belonging to a criminal gang of Lyari were arrested from Korangi Industrial Area.

Police seized hand grenades, weapons, and explosive items from them.

Police claim that the suspects were roaming in the area with the intention of targeting key installations.

According to police officials, a suspicious vehicle was reportedly moving near sensitive installations in the Korangi Industrial Area.

At this a heavy contingent of police started searching for the vehicle and shortly afterward, three occupants of a vehicle were stopped and searched, and a hand grenade, three pistols, a mobile phone and cash were recovered from them.

Police officials said that the three suspects Ibrahim, Imran and Bilal belonged to Lyari Gangwar. The double-cabin SUV of the suspects was also confiscated.

Paid assassins nabbed

The suspects arrested after a police encounter in Shah Latif Town turned out to be paid assassins.

A few days ago, the suspects had shot dead a young man named Shafiq and injured two others.

According to SSP Malir Irfan Bahadur, the suspects had opened fire on three civilians, including two real brothers, on January 4 in Shah Latif Town.

One youth was killed while two others were injured who are still undergoing medical treatment.

The suspects have confessed to having received money for carrying out the said incident.

The SSP further said that the suspects used to kill for money.

They are also involved in dozens of cases pertaining to street crimes. Weapons recovered from the possession of the suspects have been sent to the forensic laboratory.

Last year, the suspects also killed a civilian in Quaidabad area. In the preliminary investigation, the suspects have confessed to several incidents.

While further investigation is underway in which several important revelations are expected.
