Rumour has it: Farhan Akhtar, girlfriend Shibani Dandekar to marry in March

According to Indian media the couple, who first made their relationship public in 2018, will marry in a private affair

After Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif's hush-hush wedding, seems like another Bollywood couple is all set to tie the knot in an intimate ceremony. If rumours are to be trusted, then congratulations are in order for Farhan Akhtar, who is all set to marry his girlfriend of three years, Shibani Dandekar. 

According to the Indian media the couple, who first made their relationship public in 2018, will marry in a private affair in March. Bollywood Life reported that the duo, who has been living together for a while in Mumbai, will be going for a small ceremony due to yet another Covid outbreak in India.

The publication quoted a source as saying, “Farhan and Shibani were planning a lavish wedding in Mumbai on March 2022. However, now they will keep it low-key as the Covid cases have been rising once again and there are many Bollywood celebs, too, who have been tested Covid positive. And so, the couple has decided to get married among friends and family. Farhan and Shibani are living together and they don't want to delay their wedding amid the pandemic, and so, they thought to keep it an intimate affair.”

Farhan and Shibani are yet to release an official statement on the matter. Last year, similar gossip made the headlines, which prompted Shibani to release an official statement. She told Bollywood Bubble, "Everybody is asking me that question. Honestly, the topic has not come up, but I have told people that I will figure it out and let you know. As of now, there's nothing to it yet."

She said that the lockdown ensured that they got to know each other 'much quicker' than they would have otherwise. She continued, "We already do so much together, in terms of, we work out together, we watch content together, we would play with our dogs together, and then he would go off and work, and I would go off and work. So we had a great balance, that way. And we have a lot of interests that are similar. We both like our time apart as well. We had a great set-up going on, actually."
