Two suspects held in case of killing teenage girl

KARACHI:

Police has detained two people for questioning on suspicion of involvement in the killing a 13-year-old girl in Orangi Town while several others are under investigation. Police officials say the killers will be arrested soon.

A few days ago, the strangled body of 13-year-old Anusha Akbar was found inside her house in Pakistan Bazaar area of Orangi Town. She was strangled to death by unknown assailants. Attempts were also made to paint the incident as suicide. Police officials had gathered evidence of the incident. Autopsy confirmed that Anusha had been killed. The police registered a case against unidentified suspects on the complaint of Anusha's father, Akhtar.

In this regard, SHO Pakistan Bazar Akhlaq Ahmed said that investigation is underway and statements of some employees of the factory located near the house have also been recorded. Police have taken two suspects in custody.
