Man held for assaulting mother

One who disrespects and tarnishes the sanctity of his parents will be brought to book, says Rawalpindi CPO

Police have arrested a man for physically assaulting his mother during a domestic dispute. According to the police, the complainant maintained that her eldest son Syed Dil Taj indulged in a row over a petty matter during which he hit and injured her face with sharp fingernails. The police have registered a case under the Parental Protection Ordinance and arrested the suspect.

Rawalpindi Chief Police Officer Sajid Kayani has said that one who disrespects and tarnishes the sanctity of his parents will be brought to book. The suspect indiscriminately tortured his mother and would be brought to justice.

Violence against such a great being as a mother is unimaginable and unfortunate, he said, adding that the accused did not deserve any sympathy.

Meanwhile, Taxila Assistant Commissioner conducted raids to check illegal mining, stone crushing and blasting in Baba Wali Qandahari mining area and took action against a violator.

According to a district administration spokesman, on the directives of Deputy Commissioner, Rawalpindi Muhammad Ali, AC Taxila conducted raids to check illegal mining activity in Baba Wali Qandahari mining area.

The AC imposed a Rs100,000 fine on a crushing plant owner who was found involved in minor blasting while all 22 other crushing plants were closed.
