Wahab says hike in power tariff is shocking
It is shocking that the federal government has further increased the electricity charges by Rs0.33, said Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Administrator Murtaza Wahab on Monday.
The PTI led government has launched another economic attack on the people, while responding to decision to hike electricity charges.
“Rising electricity prices will lead to new flood of inflation,” he added and said that the Prime Minister should take back the cruel decision of increasing the price of electricity.
Meanwhile, Wahab on Monday said that Sindh government will provide bailout package for payment of pensions and arrears of KMC employees.

In the last meeting of the Sindh Cabinet, it was agreed in principle. The Chief Minister of Sindh considers this issue very important and the provincial government will take all possible steps to resolve it,” the Administrator expressed these views while talking to a delegation of Municipal Workers Trade Union Alliance headed by Zulfiqar Shah.
Zulfiqar Shah said some bank branches in remote areas are not online causing encumbrance to KMC pensioners.
