Man kills alienated wife, her brother
A woman and her brother were killed by her husband in the Patel Para area within the remits of Jamshed Quarters police station on Monday.
The attack was attributed to domestic strife, Jamshed Quarter SHO Sub-Inspector Majid Korai said.
Early on Monday morning, the suspects, identified as Bakht Buland, and his brother Yousuf Rehman, barged into the home of Muhammad Anwar, opened on the inmates and fled, leaving their weapons at the crime scene, he said.
Anwar, his brother Muhamamd Haroon and their sister Zebun Nissa received bullet injuries. The injured were rushed to Dr Ruth KM Pfau Civil Hospital with the help of Edhi ambulances. However, Haroon and Zebun Nissa succumbed to their injuries. Anwar was in critical condition.
The assailants and the victims belong to the Darband area of the Torghar District formerly known as Kala Dhaka in the Hazara division, police said.
The relatives of the victims told the police that Zaibunnisa had shifted from Darband to her brother’s home after separation from her husband, Bakht Buland.
SHO Korai said that family sources told the police that Buland and his family members used to torture Zaibunnisa, on which her brothers brought her to their home in Karachi. She also won the possession of the children through court.

Korai said as per investigations Zaibunnisa was Buland’s second wife. There was a quarrel between the couple and the victim, after approaching the court, got custody of the children and came to her brothers’ house from Darband.
He said that fugitive accused Bakht Buland had also come to Karachi for a few days and was staying with his relatives.
