PM Imran wins UAE award for his contribution to sports
Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday won the UAE's Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award for his contribution to sports, including leading Pakistan’s cricket team to victory in the 1992 Cricket World Cup.
The ruling PTI's Senator Faisal Javed Khan took to his official Twitter account to announce the premier's win of the “prestigious” award.
“The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Award honours individuals with remarkable achievements in their lives [and] contributions globally,” he wrote.

According to Gulf News, the ceremony to announce the winners of the 11th MBR Creative Sports Award - the largest such award in terms of prize money and categories, and the first dedicated to creativity in sports - was held on Monday at the Deep Dive Dubai, the world’s deepest pool.
Chairperson of the Dubai Sports Council Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed and Chairman of the Award’s Board of Trustees Mattar Al Tayer were both present at the ceremony.
The UAE-based news agency also reported that PM Imran has been invited to receive his award at the award ceremony planned to be held at the Expo 2020, Dubai on January 9.
