Electoral rolls verification process begins next week

Final voter lists will be published by ECP on March 13, 2022

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has ordered the verification process of electoral rolls with door-to-door voter verification to commence from November 7 till December 6.

After the verification process is completed by the dedicated commission formed for this purpose, the data entry work will commence from December 7 till January 5, 2022, after which the printing of the electoral rolls will begin.

The new electoral rolls will be available at the display centers for 45 days. The final voter lists will be published by the ECP on March 13, 2022 once they have been reviewed by the people in their respective constituencies for any missing or additional names.

Registration powers have been given to 42 assistants in Punjab, 30 in Sindh, 35 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 34 in the Balochistan province.

The commission which manages the electoral process has maintained that only those voters, whose national identification cards have permanent addresses, will be considered for the electoral roll.
