Ten receive serious burn injuries in blaze

As many as ten people sustained serious burn injuries in fire incidents that took place at three different places in the city.

According to details, six people, including the owner of a welding shop and two of his employees, sustained burn injuries when a fire broke out during welding work on a diesel tank of a bus near Kishti Chowk within the limits of Napier in the wee hours of Wednesday. The injured were identified as Nadir Ali son of Haider Ali, Feroz son of Ghulam, Hassan Ali son of Ilyas, Zahid son of Yusuf, Aslam son of Amir Ali, and Shehzad son of Faiz Muhammad.

Police said, Aslam, the owner of the shop while Shahzad and Hassan both working in the shop, were lying under the bus and carrying out the welding work on the diesel tank of the bus during which the tank exploded.

Meanwhile, three persons, including the owner of an oil depot, were injured in a blaze at an oil warehouse in Baldia Town.

The owner of the warehouse Mohsin Ali son of Gulistan, Sain Bakhsh son of Muhammad Hussain and Rasool Bakhsh received serious burn injuries.

They were also rushed to Civil Hospital burn ward.

Moreover, a young man, identified as Shehzad son of Abdul Hasan, was seriously injured when a fire broke out while he was taking out petrol from a motorcycle tank in Korangi’s Zaman Town area.
