Man found dead ‘after quarrel with wife’
A two-day old body of a man was found hanging from the ceiling fan of a room at a private school in the Taiser Town area of Surjani Town on Monday.
The deceased, Nizamuddin, 40, a rickshaw driver by profession, lived with his wife, Annie, in a small room at Iqra Rozatul-Hussain School near Jamia Masjid Baitul Mukarram in Taiser Town.
The school staff were shocked to found him dead when they came back after the weekend and immediately informed the police. Upon receiving information, police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal formalities.
Surjani Town Police Station SHO Asadun Nabi said that the owner of the school had built a room in the school for Annie and her husband Nizam to live in. The woman also taught at the school. The couple was responsible for locking down and opening the doors of the schools.

SHO Nabi added that as per the initial investigations, there was a quarrel between the couple on Saturday and the husband had scolded his wife. Annie handed over the school key to the school owner and said that she would not come to school on Monday and left for her parents' house.
After the weekend, when the owner opened the school, he found Nizam's body hanging from a fan in the room, he said.
The SHO said that whether the deceased committed suicide after his wife left for her parents' house in anger or he was murdered would only be determined after the post-mortem report. However, police were investigating the incident.
