Alleged killer of KMC officer arrested

Motive behind the incident seems to be personal enmity, according to Rangers' spokesperson

KARACHI:

Sindh Rangers and police, during a joint operation, arrested a suspect, Umair Nihad Ahmed Khan alias Major Umair, involved in the murder of KMC's deputy director katchi abadis and recovered weapons from his possession and also seized a vehicle used in the incident.

On October 25, the body of a man was found from a vacant plot in Hawa Goth area of Orangi Town. The victim was identified as KMC's deputy director katchi abadis, Misbahul Islam.

The Rangers have formed a special team to look into the motive behind the murder, using modern technical means. According to the spokesperson, the motive behind the incident seems to be personal enmity. Two rifles, two pistols and a vehicle used in the incident were seized.

The suspect has been handed over to the police for further legal action. Raids are being conducted to arrest his accomplices.
