A girl was raped and a 14-year-old boy was sexually assaulted in the city on Thursday.
A complainant told the police the suspects Mian Rasheed and Mian Umar used to work in a cosmetic wholesale shop. She said that the suspects offered her daughter a saleswoman job in their cosmetic shop.
She said that the suspects called her daughter to their warehouse for an interview, where they raped and harassed her daughter by threating her with uploading her videos on social media.
Ghulam Muhammadabad police registered a case under section 376 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). Meanwhile, a 14-year-old was lured and molested by suspect Abdul Rahim in Gilani Mohalla. The police have registered a case under section 377 of PPC and started raids to arrest the suspect.
Incidents of sexual violence are rampant across Punjab.
On February 20, in Faisalabd a man lured a young woman under the pretext of dropping her home and allegedly raped her after overpowering her at a secluded place.

The victim met the suspect Sadi Ahmed, who was a friend of her brother and used to visit their house as well.
He asked if he could drop her home and took her to a house in Al-Hafiz Garden where there was already an armed man who locked her in a room and raped her.
On June 18, a suspect Ali Anwar, resident of Judge Wala Main Road befriended with an 18-year-old.
The suspect tricked her into marrying while he called her at Ideal Bakery Chowk and later took her to an unknown place. The suspect raped her and started blackmailing her by making pictures and videos of the victim.
Gulberg police registered a case against the suspect under section 376 PPC.
On August 18, a woman was allegedly raped by two men who had called the victim on the pretext of a job interview in the provincial capital.
When the victim reached the designated location, they took her to a hotel near Lahore Railway Station where the suspects subjected her to sexual violence. Tandlianwala police shifted the woman to a hospital and registered a case.
