Police register cases, launch hunt for suspects

Three people were allegedly murdered in the city on Saturday.

Police registered cases against the suspected murderers and launched a hunt to find them. According to the police officials, in separate incidents, three persons including a woman were shot dead and stabbed to death.

 Police took the three bodies into custody and shifted them to the hospital for postmortem and registered cases under murder provisions against named and unknown accused and start raids for their arrest.

According to the police report, Hasnain Ahmed was injured in a shootout between the owners of Amin Tea Stall and Zafar Pan Shop on Data Colony Main Road in Razaabad police station.

The victim was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Separately, 32-year-old Aminullah, son of Ashraf, a labourer at a local mill near Jaranwala Road Diamond Factory, a resident of Mianwali, was going home on a motorcycle when he was stopped and allegedly shot dead by motorcyclists coming from the opposite direction.

Meanwhile, the body of an unidentified 45-year-old woman was found in Rakh Branch near Wapda City, Chak No 193, Sharinwala who was allegedly strangled to death by unknown persons.
