Brother of deceased injured in attack aimed at evicting them from home

A man allegedly shot dead his one son and injured another at the behest of his sixth wife after they refused to leave his home.

The complainant Farooq Ishaq told Sahiyanwala police that Zulfiqar Ali, son of Inayat Ali and resident the 158 RB area, who is the father of his nephews Ghulam Murtaza and Ghulam Mustafa, came home with a pistol and told them to get out of his house.

He stated that the suspect threatened to shoot dead his sons if they did not vacate the house.

Seeing the anger of their father, Ghulam Mustafa and Ghulam Murtaza went to the house of their friend Mubashir Farooq in Chak 153RB, but Zulfiqar also reached there and opened fire at them, their uncle stated.

According to the FIR, the suspect shot his sons with a 30-bore pistol.

Two bullets hit Ghulam Murtaza in his stomach, while Ghulam Mustafa suffered bullet wounds in his left hand, wrist and right arm. Zulfiqar fled after the attack.

The victims were taken to Allied Hospital in a private car, where Ghulam Murtaza succumbed to his injuries.

The complainant stated that Zulfiqar had married for the sixth time and he wanted to evict his sons from his ancestral home at the behest of his wife, Sadia.

The police registered a case of murder and attempted murder after the postmortem of the deceased.
