Motorcycle, two firearms seized from the deceased

KURIANWALA:

Two robbers were killed during a police encounter in the city on Tuesday. The suspected robbers allegedly looted after setting blockade near Gutwala.

Reportedly, four of the six suspected robbers managed to flee.

Police seized the snatched motorcycle and two pistols and shifted the bodies to Allied Hospital for autopsy.

According to the police report, six suspected robbers riding three motorcycles snatched cash, mobile phones and a two-wheeler from two citizens near Nalewala and Wapda City in Chak Jhumra area and fled towards Manianwala.

The robbery victims informed Rescue 15 after which Dolphin Police, Chak Jhumra SHO Rana Umar Dr. Daraz and Millat Town SHO Abid Jutt took action and chased the robbers. Two suspected robbers were killed in an exchange of fire involving the suspects and police near Gutwala.

Madina Town police reached the spot and seized the bodies of the two robbers and shifted them to Allied Hospital for postmortem. The police team also seized two pistols and snatched motorcycle and started search for the fugitives.

According to the police officials, the fingerprints had been obtained to identify the dead robbers. The dead robbers were said to be between 25 and 30 years old.
