Two shot dead in family feud
Two persons, including a policeman, were shot dead in Ghausia Colony, behind Central Jail within the limits of New Town Police Station on Sunday night.
Both deceased were relatives to each other. According to eyewitnesses, Waheed Gul, 45, and his brother-in-law Naeem Shah, 40, were sitting at a tea shop in the area when their another relative, Amjad walked up to them, pulled out a pistol and shot them from close range.
Police said that their relative Amjad, who is also a policeman, was involved in the killing.
Police claimed having acquired the CCTV footage of the incident in which it is clear that Amjad went to the tea shop, opened fire on Waheed and Habib and fled from the scene.

New Town Police have registered a case of double murder on the complaint of Sohail, the real brother of deceased Waheed Gul.
According to police, Amjad and his two brothers Sajid Shah and Sajjad Shah, have been nominated in the case.
The complainant Sohail informed that the three brothers had been sending threats to the deceased since long, police said.
Both the deceased were laid to rest in Essa Nagri graveyard on Monday.
