RAWALPINDI:

Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Asif has said that if the leadership does not end their quarrels, we will never be able to succeed. The current government may fall at any time, but we must unite, he stressed.

He expressed these views while addressing a workers convention organised by PML-N in Rawalpindi. On the occasion, he said that the differences are not between the ordinary workers but between the leadership. "If the leadership does not come together, then we will never succeed," he added.

Commenting on the outcome of the cantonment polls, Asif said that 73 per cent of the votes in the elections were cast against the present rulers and the victory of PML-N was a reward for the service rendered to the people. "PML-N has always served the people, but we have to unite to win the next elections," he maintained.

He further said that the elections held in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir were not transparent, alleging that the people are fed up with inflation and poverty. He claimed that the present government could fall any time and elections could take place so the leadership needs to come together.
