Bilal Ahmed | 14 years ago | Reply The focal point should mainly be de-weaponization in Karachi, as a first step without any prejuduice. Specifically, from those elements who carry arms and keep them with the stupid pretext of tradition. History speaks for itself and Karachites have long been targeted and terrorized by these elememts openly and the ellimination of this prevailing fear needs to be removed once and for all, as all coomunities can live in harmony after getting rid of this nuisance.Targeting only MQM does nor serves the purpose and only a calculated longterm socio-economical roadmap will solve the problem once and for all. THE COMMENTS ARE TOTALLY BIASED AND THE WRITER DOES NOT POSSESS ANY KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE GROUND REALITIES.
Khobar from UK | 14 years ago | Reply This situation in Karachi shall never improve if the present leaders capitulate to blackmail of MQM. The situation in Karachi shall never improve if there is no rule of law. For how long PPP government shall fool the people with their ridiculous policy of 'reconciliation'. If PPP is so scared to face these criminals who are in coalition wearing mask of parliamentarians then they have no right to be in the government. All the fingers points to MQM but when I hear them on TV shows extending absurd explanation of the deteriorating law and order situation in Karachi and presenting themselves as clean guys. The siutation in Karachi shall never improve unless the law enforcement agencies are given orders to deal with the situation without any pressure from the thugs sitting in the coalition government. The situation in Karachi shall never improve unless the media calls spade a spade and name and shame the parties who are targeting their opponents. The situation in Karachi shall never improve unless the Chief Justice of Pakistan intervenes himself and take notice and indict the criminals which are ruling roost in the coalition and against whom the PPP has no gall to act.
