At least six terrorists were killed during an operation conducted by security forces in Balochistan’s Kharan district on Friday, said the military’s media wing.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations, soldiers of Frontier Corps Balochistan carried out an intelligence-based operation (IBO) after a tip-off was received about the presence of a terrorist hideout.
During the ensuing intense shootout after FC cordoned off the hideout, two terrorist commanders namely Gul Mir alias Pullen and Kaleem Ullah Bolani also got killed.
A large cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered from the terrorists.
In a separate IBO, the Counter Terrorism Department’s Balochistan chapter nabbed three Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) terrorists from Turbat city.
According to CTD spokesperson, the apprehended terrorists were involved in the Gwadar suicide attack apart from other attacks on law enforcement agency personnel.
He said that a tip-off was received regarding the presence of a BLA terrorist at Turbat Bazar who intended to carry out an attack on the public, LEAs or sensitive government installations.
A raid was conducted and Shoaib was arrested without posing any resistance during the operation.

The CTD official added that Shoaib revealed the presence of two more terrorists during interrogation and they were arrested shortly after during another raid.
Explosive materials including one hand grenade, two detonators and two prima cords were recovered from them.
During interrogation the terrorists disclosed being part of a facilitation network of Gwadar suicide blast that claimed the lives of four children. One Chinese national was also injured in the attack.
The terrorists disclosed that the suicide bomber came from the Ramin area in Iran and stayed near the customs warehouse after his arrival on the night of August 10. One of the terrorists also disclosed that a person named Rasool Bux hailing from Chahbahar area of Iran is the mastermind of the attack.
He also disclosed that Bux had also used his father late Dur Muhammad for transporting four terrorists who had carried out an attack on PC Hotel Gwadar in 2019. The boat carrying the suicide bomber was rowed by his brother Ahmed.
The CTD spokesperson said more raids are planned to arrest the remaining members of the terrorist network.
"The accused were involved in facilitating a suicide attack on a Chinese convoy in Gwadar this month," he said. "The masterminds of the recent terrorist attacks in the province are present in the neighboring country.”
